Meals on Wheels
The program provides meals to individuals 60 years of age and older,
who are living at home and unable to prepare their own meals or go
out to eat, and have little or no assistance to obtain adequate meals.
Meals-on-Wheels can be provided during short-term convalescence or
long-term disability. |
 |
"Due
to my failing eyesight and loss of transportation, I felt stranded
at home and was quickly losing too much weight.
Now with Meals on Wheels, I am eating better and feeling healthier." –
Mary Ann, a Meals-on-Wheels
recipient for 10 years. |

What are the meals
like?
Designed by a Registered Dietitian, menus feature seasonal fruits and vegetables,
with each meal furnishing 1/3 of your daily nutritional requirements. Each delivery
consists of a hot, ready-to-eat meal, a cold meal to eat later in the day, and
a breakfast meal for the following morning. Meals are prepared in the kitchens
of our contracted caterers. |
